Waterford Wake Up Opens at Waterford-Halfmoon

A new student-run business is brewing at Waterford-Halfmoon! On Friday, November 6, Ms. Fletcher's high school Life Skills students celebrated the grand opening of Waterford Wake Up, a coffee shop serving District staff.

Following a soft opening on Thursday, students officially launched the shop on Friday with a grand opening celebration from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m., offering pick-up and delivery orders.

Students are involved in every aspect of the operation, including ordering supplies, preparing beverages, taking in-person and online orders, providing customer service, and making deliveries throughout the building.

Waterford Wake Up provides students with a valuable opportunity to develop practical life and job skills while gaining hands-on experience in running a business in a real-world setting.

The District extends a special thank-you to Ms. Fletcher and her teacher aide, Ms. Klein, for their work in bringing this program to life.

The Waterford Wake Up students will also join the November Board of Education meeting to lead attendees in the Pledge of Allegiance.
