Budget and School Taxes

The Waterford-Halfmoon Union Free School District is a public school providing K-12 education and is funded primarily by property taxes and State aid. The budget is adopted annually by the Board of Education in April and presented to our voters for approval annually, on the third Tuesday in May. The property tax warrant is adopted annually in August and property taxes are levied annually in September. 2024-25 PROPOSED BUDGET
On Tuesday, May 21, residents of the Waterford-Halfmoon UFSD approved a $23,782,451 budget for the 2024-2025 academic year. This budget reflects a tax levy increase of 0.99% for a total tax levy of $12,135,887 for the 2024-25 school year.
