The Waterford-Halfmoon District is seeking a dedicated and passionate Head Coach to lead our Varsity Softball Team for the upcoming season. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in softball, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to developing young athletes both on and off the field.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement training programs that enhance athletic performance.
• Organize and lead practices and games.
• Foster a positive team culture that emphasizes sportsmanship, teamwork, and personal growth.
• Communicate regularly with athletes, parents, and staff about team progress and expectations.
• Analyze player performance and provide constructive feedback.
• Collaborate with other coaches and staff to promote a cohesive athletic program.

Qualifications:

• Previous coaching experience in softball at the high school, collegiate, or club level.
• Strong knowledge of softball rules and strategies.
• The ability to motivate and inspire athletes of varying skill levels.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Candidates must hold a valid NYS Teaching or NYS coaching certificate or be willing to obtain one.

Salary per WTA contract
