Grade 7 & 8 Supply List

SUPPLIES FOR GRADES 7 &8

 

 

Grade 7 & 8 - All classes

General Supplies - Pens, pencils, loose-leaf paper, Each student will receive a Premier School Agenda the first week of School.  Students will be required to have their agenda with them at all times.  The agenda will contain the student’s hall pass.  A fee will be charged to replace the agenda. 

Suggestion:  It has been helpful for many students to color-coordinate the notebook and folder for a particular subject. (Ex:  red notebook with red folder for Math, blue for English, etc.)

Lockers:  the dimensions of the lockers are:  Width - 12             Depth - 10  1/2  Some students have found it helpful to have stacking locker organizers.  The Parent Teachers Store in Latham carries nice locker organizers.

Book bags:  Many types of book bags do NOT fit in the lockers.  Please look for one with a flexible bottom that can be bent or folded enough to fit inside the locker.

 

Grade 7

 

Art 7                                      4 Number 2 pencils, eraser, one box of crayons (24 colors), one box of fine point markers (24 colors), 1 USB flash drive- 1G minimum

Band                                       Instrument or rented instrument, reed oil, etc., lesson book used with Mrs. Ricci

English 7                               *One 3-ring binder, 4 dividers, two packs loose-leaf paper, highlighter, colored pencils, one box of pens, and one box of tissues

Spanish 7                              *One 3-ring binder, 5 dividers, one two pocket folder and loose leaf-paper

Home & Careers 7              2 pieces of contrasting fabric (each piece should be 1/2 yard long), thread to match one piece     of  fabric, and one bag of polyfill (polyester stuffing)

                                                 Do not purchase fabric & thread until after the first day of class.

Math 7                                    One 3-subject notebook for math only*, one 2-pocket folder, 2 boxes of pencils, 1 box of tissues

Music 7                                  no supplies needed

Science 7                               One 3-ring binder and 4 dividers, loose-leaf paper - 300 sheets

Social Studies 7                   400 sheets of  loose leaf paper, one 3 ring binder, 2 folders w/holes, highlighters, 100 index cards

Technology 7                        One 1-subject notebook or loose-leaf paper, one 2-pocket folder

Chorus                                   ½ inch plain black 3-ring binder and pencil

 

Grade 8

 

Art 8                                       Four #2 pencils, one mechanical pencil

Band                                        Instrument or rented instrument, reed oil. etc., lesson book

English 8                               *One 3-ring binder with 3 dividers, loose leaf paper, pens, box of tissues

Spanish 8                              One 3-ring binder* (Spanish only), loose-leaf paper, pens, pencils, index cards

Health 8                                 One 1-subject spiral notebook, one 2-pocket folder, writing journal

Math 8                                    One 3-subject notebook, *one 3-ring 1 inch binder, pencils (pens will not be used)

Music 8                                  no supplies needed

Home & Careers                  One 1 subject notebook and one folder

Social Studies 8                    One 1-subject notebook for social studies only*, one folder

Technology 8                         One 1-subject notebook or loose-leaf paper, one 2-pocket folder

Science 8                               One 3 ring binder, loose-leaf paper, box of pencils, box of pens, box of                     

                                                 Tissues, a bottle of hand sanitizer

Chorus                                   ½ inch plain black 3-ring binder and pencil

 

 

*Teachers may collect these notebooks or binders for grading, therefore, they should not contain contents which will be required for other classes.

Only fill in the part I, if you currently go to WHS.  Proof of physical is required.  If student has had a physical in the last 12 months and it is on file with the nurses office, you will not need to bring in proof of physical.

Student should return completed forms to the guidance secretary.  The student will sign their card here and will leave with their card.
